Christmas 1997, when my gaming obsession began.
As far back as I can remember, I have always loved video games, My earliest gaming memory is of me, around 3 or 4, sitting on my dad's lap, watching him play the original Castle Wolfenstein on his Commodore 64. As I got older, I found myself more attracted to the concept of video games, playing on my cousin's NES during every holiday get-together (Duck Hunt and Contra were two staples of Thanksgiving when I was young).
I finally got a video game system of my own - the Nintendo 64 - for Christmas in 1997, alongside Star Fox 64 and Cruis'n USA.
That was all it took.
Gaming has remained a major hobby of mine ever since, and as I got older I began to follow the industry itself more closely. The video game industry is a very strange and fascinating place, filled with elements both positive and negative.
This blog is designed as an outlet for my thoughts on the goings-on in the industry. I will frequently post my opinions and feelings on recent events that are going on, as well as preview or review a game from time to time. I will try to stay away from the more controversial aspects of the industry and focus on more of the positive things; after all, I believe that video games are an endless source of fun and should be celebrated as such.
I love video games and I am honored to share my passion for them with you.
Thanks for reading!
